Using Kubrick without php layers?

Hey everyone, I just downloaded the kubrick theme (been waiting for this for a long time 😂 ) but the problem I have is that the header isn't showing and a message "phplayers are not available on this site" appears where the main header should be.

My question is, can you still use the kubrick theme without phplayers?

Thanks

Yes, just edit the line in kubrick's tiki.tpl that calls the phplayers menu (line 14 or so). If you want, you can put ordinary links there instead. Keep the div id="horiz_menu" to center the links; add a div class="horbaritem" around the row of links to give them the color treatment that the phplayers menu section links have (dark background when mouse hovers, etc.). Or just delete or comment out the line. No problem. 😊

Thanks for the fast reply Gary 😀

will try what you suggest. But while I'm doing that could I ask another question 😡 It seems that none of the layout graphics (i.e. the header_tile, bg_left, bg_right etc) are showing. Are these all because php layers aren't available? Or is it because I've done something wrong? I tried to install it again, but it's still the same way.

Thanks again

ETA: Don't worry about this request. I just realised that I had hot linking enabled on my website, so that's why the graphics weren't showing. Very weird...😬

The background graphics should display whether a phplayers menu is used or not. Try displaying one of the graphic files directly with a URL like "http://yourdomain.com/styles/kubrick/bg_left.jpg". This will test whether the file is in the right directory. If it doesn't show up, then it could be that the files were uploaded to the wrong place.

But I would say take care of the phplayers menu problem first, because that is probably blocking the display of the rest of the page.
